Allie Kilkenny shares an open letter to American Conservative and anti-feminist Ann Coulter.

Dear Ann Coulter,

When tall, thick Amazonian warriors cut off their breasts to shoot arrows, I doubt they dreamt fondly of kin with loose lips and snide tongues.  When women cut the straps of girdles and burnt their bras, I remain sincerely sceptical that they constructed figurines, blonde, enormous, questionably talented, shrewdly equipped at making love to the PR monster, in their minds. Little girls don't bounce their dolls about, whispering the Conservative agenda through their pretty, pink lips.

And you don't speak for us, Ms. Coulter.  Remember this, woman- whatever tribe you come from, you are part of this sisterhood, Coulter, whether you desire excommunication or not. You were part of the tears shed for husbands gone, and you are dead in the ash of widowers. You do not get to skip this step, Coulter. You are clutching a folded flag to your chest beside a too new casket. Oh yes, you're there Ann. You are Amazonian with us, charging through jungles, and you are screaming for equal wages, and a fair shot at everything.  

You are there -- just one of many -- and you don't get to break this wave.  You don't get an out, Ann, just because you're selling a book, and call yourself a Conservative. There is something deeper inside your belly. You are woman. You are one of us.  We see it in the glimmer of pain in your eye when the masculine machine casts you aside and scoffs, "Female."  It is then that your sisters pick you up.  It is then that you are not too quick to judge.  

So no, Ann, your artificial insults don't hurt too badly. You are a little girl playing little games, but one day you will grow to be a woman, and we will be there to explain the mechanics of your breasts, heart, mind, and soul to you.
